A total of 25 power plants remain unavailable to the Visayas Grid due to forced outages:
• 8 plants since June 2026
• 8 plants since May 2026
• 1 plant since March 2026
• 3 plants since 2025
• 2 plants since 2024
• 2 plants since 2023
• 1 plant since 2021
Meanwhile, 12 power plants are operating on derated capacities, resulting in a total of 890.4 MW unavailable to the grid.
𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗱 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁:
• Decrease in HVDC power import from Mindanao
A Red Alert is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission grid's regulating requirements.
A Yellow Alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid's contingency requirements.
We encourage all our Member-Consumer-Owners to practice energy conservation, especially during the alert periods, to help maintain the stability and reliability of the power grid.

This assistance forms part of ILECO I's continuing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program aimed at promoting active and healthy lifestyles among the youth.
The donated sports equipment will help encourage greater participation in community and school-based athletic activities, fostering teamwork, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership among young athletes.
