Earlier today, March 6, 2026, ILECO I proudly hosted the Department of Energyโs (DOE) official launch of the Expanded Lifeline Rate Program.
This milestone event, held at the Guimbal Covered Gymnasium in Guimbal, Iloilo, was a collaborative effort between ILECO I, the Department of Energy (DOE), the National Electrification Administration (NEA), the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), and the Local Government Unit of Guimbal to implement Republic Act 11552. The law ensures that marginalized households particularly 4Ps beneficiaries receive significant electricity discounts, with those consuming under 50 kWh receiving up to a 100% subsidy.
The launch was attended by approximately 500 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino (4Ps) beneficiaries, alongside officials from the DOE, NEA, DSWD, DILG, and ERC. Representatives from local government units and electric cooperatives across Panay and Guimaras also joined the assembly.
We were deeply honored to welcome DOE Secretary Sharon S. Garin and other national dignitaries. The program featured official ceremonial rites and moving testimonials from lifeline beneficiaries whose lives are directly impacted by these subsidies.
ILECO I remains steadfast in supporting government initiatives that provide affordable, reliable electricity for all. Together, we are powering a more equitable energy future!

DOE Secretary Sharon Garin, hinatid ang magandang balita ng discount sa kuryente sa pamamagitan ng Lifeline Rate Subsidy. Katulong ng ILECO I ang DSWD at ERC para sa pagpapatupad ng automatic registration sa discount na ito. Wala nang pila, wala nang papel, direktang discount para sa kapos ang kita.
