August 8, 2026 β ILECO I successfully conducted the Barangay Power Association (BAPA) General Assembly at the Iloilo Science and Technology University β Miagao Campus, bringing together 108 BAPA officers from the Municipality of Miagao.
The General Assembly served as an avenue for ILECO I to update BAPA officers on the Cooperativeβs latest policies, programs, and strategic initiatives. It also provided an opportunity for open and meaningful dialogue, allowing concerns to be raised and addressed, ideas to be shared, and valuable recommendations to be gathered to further improve the efficiency and quality of the Cooperativeβs services.
The activity further strengthened the partnership between ILECO I and its BAPA officers, recognizing their important role in helping promote safe, reliable, and responsive electric service to the Cooperativeβs Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).
Through continued collaboration, ILECO I remains committed to strengthening transparency, accountability, and community engagement while working together with its stakeholders to deliver better service and support the needs of the communities it serves.

August 7, 2026, ILECO I successfully conducted the COOP CARES: Feeding Program and Handog Gamit Pang-Eskwela at Danao Elementary School, Brgy. Danao, Tigbauan, benefiting 138 learners through the distribution of essential school supplies and a feeding activity under the Cooperativeβs Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program.
The initiative aimed to support the educational and nutritional needs of young learners while promoting the Cooperativeβs commitment to community development and inclusive service. Through this activity, ILECO I helped provide students with essential school supplies and nutritious meals to support them throughout the ongoing school year.
The COOP CARES Program reflects ILECO Iβs continuing dedication to creating meaningful and lasting impacts beyond electrification by investing in the welfare and future of the communities it serves.

The event also provided an avenue for open and meaningful dialogue, where concerns were addressed, ideas were shared, and valuable recommendations were gathered to further improve the efficiency and quality of the Cooperative's services.

Factor/s that contributed to the YELLOW Alert declaration in the Visayas grid:
1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, CEDC 1
2. Limited power import from Mindanao (due to the extended outage of SEC 2, planned outage of STEAG 2), and emergency shutdown of GNPK 1 at 1208PM due to boiler tube leak
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission gridβs contingency requirement.
