To all our valued Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs):
Please be informed that the Generation Charge that will be reflected in your July 2026 electric bill has increased due to the higher cost of electricity purchased from the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
From May to June 2026, the Visayas Grid experienced several Yellow Alerts and Red Alerts brought about by the limited availability of major power plants while electricity demand remained high, particularly during the 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM peak period. As a result, electricity prices in the WESM significantly increased, affecting the generation cost passed on to distribution utilities, including ILECO I.
Please note that ILECO I does not earn from Generation Charges. These charges are collected and remitted to power suppliers and are only reflected in your electric bill based on the actual cost of purchased power.
We encourage everyone to practice energy conservation, especially during peak demand hours, by using electricity wisely and avoiding unnecessary appliance usage whenever possible.

In the meantime, you may continue to pay your electricity bills through other authorized ILECO I Third-Party Collection Agents to avoid any inconvenience.
For all MCOs who successfully paid their electricity bills through GCash before the system error occurred, please be assured that your payments will be credited to your respective ILECO I accounts.
We are currently coordinating with GCash to restore the service as soon as possible. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.
