9 plants are on forced outage since May 2026, 1 plant since March 2026, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, 2 plants since 2023, and 1 plant since 2021, while 16 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 920.6MW unavailable to the grid.
Factors that contributed to the YELLOW Alert declaration:
1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, and PEDC 3
2. High forecasted system demand
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission grid’s contingency requirement.

🏠 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟: Yara na lamang sa 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟭𝟭.𝟴𝟲𝟵𝟳/𝗸𝗪𝗵 (exclusive of VAT). Mas manubo ini kon ikumpara sa rate sang nagligad nga Abril 2026 nga yara sa Php 12.9095/kWh.
🏪 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗟𝗢𝗪 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘: Yara na lamang sa 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟭𝟬.𝟰𝟬𝟯𝟰/𝗸𝗪𝗵. Mas manubo ini kon ikumpara sa rate sang nagligad nga Abril 2026 nga yara sa Php 11.4726/kWh.
🏭 𝗡𝗢𝗡-𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗜𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛 𝗩𝗢𝗟𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗘: Yara na lamang sa 𝗣𝗵𝗽 𝟴.𝟭𝟴𝟮𝟭/𝗸𝗪𝗵. Mas manubo ini kon ikumpara sa rate sang nagligad nga Abril 2026 nga yara sa Php 9.0256/kWh.
👇 Ang pagnubo sang rate sini nga billing month sang Mayo 2026 tuga sang mga masunod nga rason:
𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗼 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲: Nagnubo ang kabilugan nga residential rate tuga sang mas manubo nga presyo sang WESM, diin ang Generation Charge nagnubo halin sa PHP 6.7646/kWh sang Abril kag yara na lang sa PHP 6.1084/kWh subong nga Mayo.
𝗠𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗯𝗼 𝗻𝗴𝗮 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲: Nagnubo ang Transmission Charge sing PHP 0.2074/kWh kun ikumpara sa nagligad nga bulan.
𝗣𝗮𝗴𝘀𝘂𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗘𝗔-𝗔𝗟𝗟 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗴𝗲: Ginasuspender anay ang Green Energy Auction-All Renewable Energy (GEA-ALL) charge para sa Mayo kag Hulyo 2026 billing cycles.
Sa gihapon, ginapahanumdom namon ang tanan nga magpadayon sa pag-kinot kag mangin responsable sa paggamit sang kuryente.
Ang inyo Kooperatiba magapadayon sa pagserbisyo sa bilog nga nasakupan hasta nga ang tanan may kasanag bisan sa nabukid nga bahin sang aton nasakupan.
"KARI KAMO, UPOD KITA, ATON INI"
Sa kabila nito, tuloy-tuloy pa rin na sinasalo ng ating mga electric cooperatives ang sisi sa mga problemang nagmumula sa ibang sektor ng ating power industry—𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮𝗻. Panahon nang magkaroon ng tunay na pananagutan, transparency, at agarang solusyon. Sa huli, naninindigan ang APEC Party-List para sa proteksyon ng ating mga electric cooperatives at ng bawat konsyumer laban sa hindi makatarungang pasanin na dulot ng paulit-ulit na power interruptions.
