As part of our commitment to empower our Big Load Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs), ILECO I successfully conducted the Strategic Orientation on Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) on June 25, 2026 at Diversion 21 Hotel. The activity highlighted the latest developments in the retail electricity market, including ERC Resolution No. 22, Series of 2025, which lowers the RCOA and Retail Aggregation Program (RAP) eligibility threshold from 500 kW to 100 kW average monthly peak demand, effective June 26, 2026, in line with the continuing implementation of DOE Department Circular No. DC2015-06-0010 on RCOA. (IEMOP)
Through this orientation, we equipped our Big Load MCOs with a better understanding of the RCOA framework, the latest ERC and DOE policies, their rights and responsibilities as contestable customers, supplier selection, and opportunities in the Competitive Retail Electricity Market. Our objective is to help our MCOs make informed, strategic, and cost-effective energy decisions while enhancing the competitiveness of their businesses.
At ILECO I, we remain committed to keeping our Member-Consumer-Owners informed of regulatory developments and industry reforms. By strengthening awareness of RCOA, we continue to empower our MCOs with greater energy choices, promote informed participation in the evolving electricity market, and support a competitive, transparent, and sustainable Philippine power industry.

As part of our continuing commitment to modernizing the Cooperativeโs electric distribution system, ILECO I successfully completed the upgrading of 0.937 kilometers of distribution lines in Brgy. Cabugao Sur, Pavia (Old Railroad) through the installation of insulated Tree Wire conductors.
Implemented at a total project cost of Php 570,225.15, this infrastructure enhancement strengthens the reliability and resilience of our distribution network by providing superior protection against vegetation-related disturbancesโone of the leading causes of power interruptions. The installation of insulated Tree Wire conductors helps minimize outage incidents, improve system performance, and ensure a more stable and dependable electric service for our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).
This project forms part of ILECO Iโs ongoing efforts to upgrade and modernize its distribution facilities, enhancing operational efficiency and supporting the growing power needs of the communities we serve. Through strategic investments in infrastructure, we remain dedicated to delivering safe, reliable, and quality electricity service that powers homes, businesses, and local development throughout our franchise area.
