As part of our continuing commitment to modernizing the Cooperative's electric distribution system, we successfully completed the upgrading of 2.799 kilometers of distribution lines through the installation of insulated Tree Wire conductors from Brgy. Guno to Lacadon via Brgy. Manhayang, Sta. Barbara.
Implemented at a total project cost of Php 1,936,089.00, this infrastructure enhancement strengthens the reliability and resilience of our distribution network by providing better protection against vegetation-related disturbances, one of the common causes of power interruptions. The installation of insulated Tree Wire conductors helps minimize outage incidents, improve operational efficiency, and enhance the quality of electric service delivered to our Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs).
Through this upgrade, we continue to modernize and strengthen our distribution network, ensuring a safer, more reliable, and dependable electricity service for our Member-Consumer-Owners. By pursuing strategic system improvements and modernization initiatives, we remain committed to providing reliable power that energizes homes, supports businesses, and contributes to the economic and social development of the communities within our franchise area.

1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, and PEDC 3
2. High demand forecast
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission gridโs contingency requirement.
