The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) will conduct the rechecking, resetting, and reconfiguration of the 69kV and 138kV protection systems based on the desired simulation outcome. A final simulation of all associated 69kV and 138kV protection systems, along with other related activities, will also be conducted.

ILECO I technical personnel will conduct clearing of the 69kV line and Feeder 11A backbone lines from Pavia Substation to Pagsanga-an, Pavia.

NGCP may implement Manual Load Dropping (MLD) if the critical grid condition persists and available power supply remains insufficient to meet demand.
Should MLD be implemented, affected feeders and the corresponding schedules will be announced through our official facebook page. We encourage all Member-Consumer-Owners (MCOs) to conserve electricity, especially during peak hours, and to remain alert for further updates from ILECO I.

5 plants are on forced outage on August 2026, 2 plants since July, 3 plants since June, 7 plants since May, 1 plant since March, 3 plants since 2025, 2 plants since 2024, 2 plants since 2023, and 1 plant since 2021, while 14 plants are running on derated capacities, for a total of 924.7MW unavailable to the grid.
Factor/s that contributed to the RED and YELLOW Alert declarations:
1. Unavailability of Visayas' large coal plants TVI 1, TVI 2, CEDC 1
2. Limited power import from Mindanao (due to the extended outage of SEC 2, maintenance outage of GNPK 2 and GNPK 1 emergency shutdown due to boiler tube leak, high system demand)
A red alert status is issued when power supply is insufficient to meet consumer demand and the transmission gridโs regulating requirement.
A yellow alert is issued when the operating margin is insufficient to meet the transmission gridโs contingency requirement.
